Our Story

We created Greenest House to engage, educate and empower industry, individuals and families to build better homes as we move towards a carbon zero future.

With over 20 years industry experience, Darren Parker launched Greenest House after Australian Energyraters in 2001. Since then, Darren and his team of ESD consultants have worked with over 40 builders and completed over 40,000 NatHERS assessments on new and existing homes.

Today Greenest House is used by industry professionals, builders and individuals around Australia. The way we see it, providing the right advice to create better, affordable and more liveable homes will never go out of style, and we intend to be around as we move towards a zero carbon future.

We are not here to sell you a house, we are here to help you build your home. We are independent, unbiased and focus on having a high degree of liveability incorporated into your home.

We care about people, not profit that’s why much of our education is free. We do offer consultations for those that want them but there is no obligation or pressure to do so. Prioritising liveability leads to a home that you, not only can show off to your friends, but is a haven, somewhere you and your family enjoy spending time, supports your lifestyle and contributes to your health.

How it works

We work with you from the very beginning, even before the design phase. We get to know you, what you want and what you need. Then we help you get the most out of where you live. We look at site specific conditions, climate and challenges. By helping you engage and educate your building designer, architect and builder about what is important to you and how you can incorporate those features into your home.
